 please go to the original [link]Artist's Comments  *BenColeAlthough it is not in the power of humanity to extinguish evil, if there ever was a war involving the majority of world where one side fought directly against forces of evil, it was World War II. This is what I thought of as soon as I saw the theme for this contest. Everything modeled in 3ds max except the roots which were done in ivy generator and imported into max. Model sculpting/detailing and most texture painting was done with my trusty Wacom Bamboo. Other textures were acquired from cgtextures.com. Full size is 1600x1200. 14 passes were rendered out of 3ds max and post production was in photoshop. I had a lot of fun making this and of course learned a lot along the way!
